Digital Forensics
Digital forensics is used for the investigation and the recovery of material in all digital devices that store data.
Digital forensics is sometimes used in computer related crimes and offenses, but more often it is used in civil matters – to discover lost or purposely deleted information, to prove intent, document authentication, to confirm alibis, and/or to gather evidence for civil or criminal court.
Digital forensics is also likely to be used for internal / private purposes, such as corporate investigations and intrusion investigation.
The forensic process typically incorporates the capture, forensic imaging and digital media analysis, and the essential assembly of collected evidence and production of a forensics report.
